Kings Park Vintage Steam Fair 2015

With Kings Park only being a stone’s throw away from our casa, we decided to take a trip to the first ever Kings Park Vintage Steam Fair. Also in attendance was my son and his godfather, who is a massive fan of the Great Dorset Steam Fair. The Steam Fair was a 2-day show over the weekend of 4 -5 July, with fundraising for the Help for Heroes charity a big part of the weekend.

There were a variety of large and small steam engines, vintage cars, trucks, and bikes on show. Something for everyone. The enormity of the engines is staggering, especially when a 2 year old boy is stood next to them. (See bottom image)

I hope that the event will be back next year; it gets a definite thumbs up from me. If so, please can you warn us when you are about to do a group steam engine “toot toot”, it scared the living daylights out of my son!!!!

*Did you notice on the top image – Speed 5 miles an Hour!
